Syria plans to order eight Airbus aircraft

Syria is close to signing a major contract for eight Airbus aircraft, President Ahmed al-Sharaa said in an interview with BFMTV. 

He said the aircraft were expected to arrive in the near future. Sharaa did not specify the terms of the planned deal.

He also said Syria was seeking partners in aviation, tourism, industry, agriculture and banking as part of the country’s reconstruction.
