Azerbaijan exports crude oil to around 20 countries across Europe and Asia, while its average daily oil and condensate production stands at 553,000 barrels, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said.

Speaking at the inaugural Technical Committee meeting under the OPEC+ Charter of Cooperation in Baku, Shahbazov said the country’s average daily oil exports total 445,000 barrels.

He said Azerbaijan’s strategic importance in the energy sector was measured not only by production volumes but also by reliable and diversified supply routes, secure energy deliveries and the trust it had earned as a dependable partner.

According to Shahbazov, key priorities within the OPEC+ framework include strengthening dialogue with major oil-consuming countries, promoting technology, innovation and investment, improving regulatory cooperation, enhancing oil market analysis and developing industry standards.
