Azerbaijan ranks 84th globally for fixed broadband speed

Azerbaijan ranked 84th among 149 countries for average fixed broadband speed in June, slipping one place from May, according to the Speedtest Global Index.

The country’s average fixed broadband speed reached 92.18 megabits per second, up 13.3% from 81.36 Mbps a year earlier.

Azerbaijan ranked ahead of Türkiye, Iran, Georgia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

In mobile internet, Azerbaijan climbed five places to rank 46th among 98 countries, with an average speed of 98.61 Mbps.

Baku ranked 114th among 191 cities for fixed broadband speed at 92.34 Mbps. The capital rose four places in the mobile internet ranking to 78th among 145 cities, with an average speed of 119.04 Mbps.
