Iran says it has not sought resumption of talks with United States
Iran has not asked the United States to resume negotiations and is not currently holding any talks with Washington, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said.
“We are not holding any negotiations with the United States at present. Consultations with Oman on necessary measures related to the Strait of Hormuz are continuing,” Baghaei told reporters.
He also rejected attempts to describe the current situation as “war management”, saying repeated war crimes and related statements were an effort to avoid responsibility for the consequences.
Baghaei said the parties involved would inevitably pay a price.
