Visa-free travel regime with Azerbaijan or other countries not currently expected

The introduction of a visa-free regime by the United Kingdom with Azerbaijan or other countries is not currently expected, British Ambassador to Azerbaijan Duncan Norman has stated.

"This is not specifically about Azerbaijan. I do not think the UK will offer a visa-free regime to any other country at present, as this is a very politically sensitive issue," Norman said.

According to him, the visa regime for individual countries is determined within the framework of the UK's overall migration policy.

The ambassador noted that migration is currently one of the most complex political issues in the UK, and decisions regarding visa-free regimes are considered within this context.
