Putin Sends Birthday Greetings to Jailed Armenian Ex-President Robert Kocharyan

Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended birthday congratulations to former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan via a telegram, according to an official Kremlin announcement.

In his message, the Russian leader wished the former Armenian president good health, well-being, and "resilience in the face of trials."

Kocharyan was recently detained by Armenian law enforcement authorities, after which a local court remanded him in custody under a two-month pre-trial detention order.
