Mortgage Lending via MCGF Reaches 238M Manats in Jan–Jul 2026
Mortgage loans issued through Azerbaijan's Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund (MCGF) totaled 237.8 million manats in the first seven months of 2026, marking a 3.8% (9.4 million manats) decline year-on-year, according to calculations based on Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) data.
During the reporting period, refinanced mortgages contracted by 20.8% to 204.1 million manats, while funds raised via bond issuances dropped 18.9% to 300 million manats. In contrast, state budget allocations to the Fund climbed 33.4% to 63.9 million manats.
Commenting on macroeconomic conditions, CBA Governor Taleh Kazimov noted that economic growth is projected at 0.5% in 2026 and 2.6% in 2027. He emphasized that current regulatory fundamentals support the existing monetary policy stance, ruling out the need to adopt alternative policy scenarios.
