Agdam–Khankendi railway construction reaches 48% completion

Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) is progressing with the reconstruction of the Agdam–Khankendi railway line, slated to become a vital transit artery in Azerbaijan's Karabakh region.

According to ADY, detailed engineering design for the 30.8-kilometer line has reached 90% completion, while civil and track construction stands at 48%. The corridor encompasses 130 engineering structures, including six bridges, five vehicular underpasses, two pedestrian crossings, and 47 emergency track crossings.

Conceptual designs for Asgaran and Khojaly stations have been finalized, while construction on the unified railway and bus terminal complex in Khankendi is moving at an accelerated pace to accommodate hundreds of daily passengers.
