Lavrov: Armenia's Desire to Join EU Will Soon Vanish

Armenia's ambition to join the European Union could evaporate shortly, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated at the Eastern Economic Forum.

Lavrov asserted that the European bloc is forfeiting its core economic advantages as a direct result of short-sighted policymaking.

"Our Serbian friends, and now our Armenian colleagues, keep repeating that they wish to join the European Union. I am convinced this desire will fade very soon," Lavrov said.
