Russian missile strike hits Kyiv, killing two and injuring ten

A Russian missile barrage on the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv left at least two people dead and ten others injured, according to local Ukrainian authorities.

Falling debris from intercepted ordnance triggered fires across multiple districts of the capital, causing extensive damage to residential apartment blocks and vehicles.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported that the strike involved a mix of ballistic and cruise missiles. Emergency crews and first responders remain on site, clearing rubble and extinguishing localized fires.
