Turkey condemns Houthi strikes on Saudi Arabia, urges immediate halt
The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned missile attacks launched by Yemen's Houthis against Saudi Arabia, stating that the strikes endanger civilian populations and exacerbate regional instability.
In an official statement, Ankara reaffirmed its steadfast support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The ministry warned that such aggressive operations actively derail ongoing diplomatic initiatives aimed at reaching a lasting political resolution to the conflict in Yemen, urging the Houthis to cease hostilities immediately.
The statement follows reports by Saudi state news agency SPA confirming that at least 73 people, including women and children, sustained injuries in recent Houthi missile strikes targeting Saudi territory.
