US regularly briefs Baku on TRIPP negotiations with Yerevan

The United States continues to keep Azerbaijan regularly informed regarding its ongoing bilateral negotiations with Armenia on the TRIPP (Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity) connectivity project, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said on Wednesday. 

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the Fourth Climate Action Week in Baku, Bayramov emphasized that while primary discussions naturally proceed between Washington and Yerevan, the regional initiative cannot materialize without Azerbaijan’s participation. He noted that updates provided to Baku indicate constructive progress in the talks. While initial targets projected the launch of physical works before the end of 2026, Bayramov clarified that ground implementation is now scheduled to commence in 2027.

The foreign minister added that rehabilitation works on railroad infrastructure in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic are already underway. He noted that multiple international partners have expressed interest in participating, while Azerbaijan is concurrently executing key infrastructure components using its domestic capacity.
