Asia-Pacific stocks rise on tech rally, lower oil prices
Most major Asia-Pacific stock indexes traded higher, buoyed by robust demand for technology and semiconductor shares alongside retreating global crude oil prices.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng index gained 139.46 points, or 0.56%, to 24,890.24, while China's CSI 300 climbed 18.90 points, or 0.42%, to 4,526.30. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 ended virtually flat at 8,731.20 points.
In Japan, the Nikkei 225 jumped 1.38% to 65,018.95 points, while the broader TOPIX slipped 0.07% to 4,091.14 points.
