Magnitude 3.3 earthquake strikes Caspian

A magnitude 3.3 earthquake occurred in the Caspian Sea basin during the early hours of Wednesday, according to the Earthquake Research Bureau of the Republican Seismic Survey Center of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.

The seismic event was recorded at 01:47 local time. The tremor's epicenter originated at a focal depth of 70 kilometers below the seabed.
