President : Policy of Double Standards Must Be Eradicated from World Affairs
The practice of double standards must be completely eliminated from international diplomacy, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated during his speech at the 7th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue in Baku.
Stressing that Azerbaijani society unequivocally rejects selective justice, the head of state remarked that this principle should govern not only the resolution of wars and conflicts but also broader interstate relations. "Double standards also manifest when someone tries to lecture you on your way of life. Before taking such steps, one should look in the mirror and ask whether they possess the moral authority to lecture anyone," President Aliyev noted. He underscored that independent states should not be instructed on how to conduct their affairs, reiterating that developments within sovereign nations remain strictly the business of their respective populations.
