Boeing Set to Miss 2026 Aircraft Delivery Targets
US aerospace giant Boeing will be unable to fully meet its previously outlined aircraft delivery targets by the end of 2026, Reuters reported, citing the company’s Chief Financial Officer Jay Malave.
According to Malave, Boeing now expects to reach its output target of 47 units per month for the 737 aircraft family by early 2027, scaling back earlier guidance from May that projected hitting that pace during the summer. Consequently, the delay will prevent the planemaker from fulfilling its goal of delivering 500 aircraft over the course of 2026.
Boeing Chief Executive Kelly Ortberg also indicated that monthly output for the best-selling 737 Max narrow-body jet will not see substantial increases until the second half of 2027, citing lower-than-expected wing fabrication rates.
