Sochi skeleton athletes prove they've got a head for fashion - PHOTO

As the Sochi Games enter their first full week of competition, the athletes are ramping up their efforts to maximise their exposure - and now it is the turn of the world's skeleton teams.An array of brightly coloured helmets with unusual designs have been spotted as competitors take to the ice in the dangerous sport. Brains, skulls,  bones and polka dots have been spotted on the runs as athletes put their personal touches to the otherwise basic outfits. There have been a number of bold fashion statements in the Games this year. The Norwegian curling team has taken to wearing extravagant, pajama-style pants in competition and in practice to try to intrigue the casual fan. And Super-combined skier Macarena Simari Birkner of Argentina was certainly easy to spot on the race hill Monday - as she was decked out in lots and lots of polka dots.(dailymail.co.uk)ANN.Az
