Azerbaijan’s Mammadyarov and Rajabov to compete in World Mind Games

Azerbaijani grandmasters Teymur Rajabov and Shahriyar Mammadyarov will compete in the World Mind Games in Beijing, China.Mammadyarov and Rajabov will face Sergey Karjakin, Alexander Grischuk, and Ian Nepomniachtchi from Russia, Ruslan Ponomariov and Vassily Ivanchuk from Ukraine, Wang Yue and Wang Hao from China, Leinier Dominguez from Cuba, Le Quang Liem from Vietnam, Anish Giri from Netherlands, Maxime Vachier-Lagrave from France, Gata Kamsky from U.S., Peter Leko from Hungary and Levon Aronian from Armenia, Azartac reported.The Chess events at the Sport Accord World Mind Games 2013 are under the auspices of the World Chess Federation (FIDE).About 32 players, 16 men and 16 women, will compete for the medals.The disciplines on the programme will be for both men and women Rapid, Blitz, Basque System.More than 150 participants of the 2013 World Mind Games are competing for $1.4 million prize money, said SportAccord General Director Vlad Marinescu at the event’s Opening Press Conference.ANN.Az
