Azerbaijan’s crude exports decline last year on lower output

Azerbaijan exported less crude oil last year as production declined, according to the State Customs Committee in Baku.

The country exported 33 million tons of crude oil last year, down from 34.2 million tons in 2013, the committee said on its website. 

Exports of natural gas rose to 8.6 billion cubic meters from 7.3 billion cubic meters.

Azerbaijan produced 41.9 million tons of crude oil and condensate last year, down 2.8 percent from 2013, the State Statistics Committee said on Jan. 16.

Production of marketable natural gas expanded to 18.7 billion cubic meters from 17.9 billion cubic meters.
