Trump to call Putin and Zelenskyy following envoys' Russia-Ukraine talks

U.S. President Donald Trump plans to hold telephone discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy after receiving debriefs from his envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner on their talks in Moscow and Kyiv, The Kyiv Independent reported citing a U.S. official.

According to the official, Trump will consult directly with Witkoff and Kushner regarding their diplomatic mission before placing the call to Putin, after which he is slated to speak with Zelenskyy.

The back-to-back diplomatic calls are expected to take place on September 7.
