Azerbaijan's Ministry of Finance has affirmed its baseline 2026 GDP growth forecast at 1.7%, while revising down its growth projections for the non-oil/gas sector from 3.7% to 3.1%, Reuters reported, citing the ministry's mid-year budget execution report and updated economic outlook.

According to State Statistical Committee figures, Azerbaijan’s GDP expanded by 0.8% year-on-year across the first six months of 2026.

The non-oil/gas sector advanced 1.5%, while hydrocarbon output contracted 0.7%. In 2025, overall economic growth reached 1.4%, with hydrocarbon output declines serving as the primary headwind to headline expansion.
