Azerbaijan’s positive money transfer balance exceeds $750 million

The positive difference between money transfers entering and leaving Azerbaijan has increased, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan’s statement on the parameters of the interest rate corridor said.

According to the statement, the balance of money transfers amounted to $751 million in January-August 2026.

It was reported that this indicator increased by 74.1% compared to the corresponding period of last year.

The Central Bank noted that external sector indicators remain favorable. At the same time, amid rising global energy prices this year and the continuation of positive trends in exports of non-oil and gas goods and services, the forecast for the current account surplus by the end of 2026 is likely to be revised upward.
