Azerbaijan shoots down Armenian military helicopter

(Baku Daily) - Azerbaijan shot down an Armenian military helicopter today in Agdam District, east of the Armenian-occupied Nagorno-Karabakh region, local news agencies said, citing the Ministry of Defense.

The helicopter was downed in the village of Camanli. There are no reports of death.

The ministry is to issue a statement on the incident on its website shortly.

If confirmed, it will be the first aircraft shot down in the conflict zone since major hostilities ended with a ceasefire 20 years ago.
