SOCAR to build new cooling unit at oil refinery
SOCAR to build new cooling unit at the oil refinery named after Heydar Aliyev in Baku. The facility has a capacity of 7000 cubic meters per day.The decision to build a new installation was made for the reason that the existing cooling equipment does not meet the needs of the plant during the warm season. The French "Hamon Thermal Europe" facility was chosen in the framework of the project implementation. The facility capacity is 7000 cubic meters per day, and it is designed on the basis of plans for raising the capacity of the facility primary roughing out to 7.5 million tons per year, and the capacity of catalytic cracking unit to 3 million tons. Also, the design took into account the needs of the plants which are planned to be built here in the future.Currently the project is under preparation for the start of construction.Oil products are produced at two Baku refineries with a total capacity of 16 million tons of oil per year. Both refineries belong to SOCAR, which annually processes approximately 7 million tons of oil extracted onshore and offshore by its own funds.(News.az)Bakudaily.az
