Kallas says Trump's 50-day ultimatum to Putin is too long

EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said on Sunday that U.S. President Donald Trump’s 50-day ultimatum to Russian President Vladimir Putin was overly long, despite its tough stance.

“A 50-day ultimatum is a very long time. It’s positive that President Trump is taking a firm position on Russia. But every day this continues, innocent civilians are being killed,” Kallas told reporters.

According to Clash Report, Putin told Trump by phone on July 3 that he aimed to seize control of key Ukrainian regions within 60 days. Ten days later, Trump warned Putin he had 50 days to halt the offensive or face new sanctions.
