US senator urges EU to stop buying Russian oil refined in India

US Senator Lindsey Graham has called on EU countries to stop importing oil from India if it originated from Russia. Writing on social media platform X, Graham said President Donald Trump’s decision to impose tariffs on nations purchasing discounted Russian oil marked a "turning point."

“These countries will finally pay a high and long-overdue price,” he said. Graham also reminded that even EU states supporting Ukraine continue to buy oil that India initially purchased from Russia.
