Germany to shut down Russian media operations in country – source

German authorities have decided to close the offices of major Russian media outlets in the country, citing security concerns, a source told Russia’s TASS news agency.

The source said Berlin plans to gradually “push out” the outlets to avoid revealing its intentions to Moscow and to prevent retaliatory measures against German correspondents working in Russia. The government has not publicly confirmed the decision.
