Pashinyan to address Armenian public amid ethics controversy
18.08.2025 16:30

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said he will address the public at 18:00 local time on August 18, following criticism from the country's anti-corruption commission over a recent social media post.

Pashinyan made the announcement via Facebook.

On August 17, he apologized for a previous post in which he referenced a “holy father and an aunt.” Armenia’s Corruption Prevention Commission concluded that the post violated official conduct rules.

“Although I do not entirely agree with some of the assessments, I apologize to all of you,” Pashinyan wrote.
