Yerevan to discuss Zangezur corridor with US
09.09.2025 14:00

Armenia is preparing to begin talks with the United States on the Zangezur corridor, foreign ministry spokesperson Ani Badalyan told Radio Azatutyun on Tuesday.

She said details about the visit of US officials and the negotiations would be announced later.

Background: The Zangezur corridor is a proposed transport link across southern Armenia that would connect Azerbaijan with its exclave Nakhchivan. Azerbaijan and Turkey have pushed for the route as part of post-war agreements, while Armenia has voiced concerns over sovereignty. The issue has been central to recent peace talks between Baku and Yerevan and has drawn interest from Washington and Moscow.
