Arestovych says U.S. ready for escalation with Russia

Former Ukrainian presidential adviser Oleksiy Arestovych said the United States was ready for an escalation with Russia, though it remained unclear whether Washington would take that step.

“When [President Donald] Trump announced his intention to ‘punish’ Russia, that already meant they were prepared for escalation,” Arestovych said on his YouTube channel. “Whether they will go through with it is another question — but in some sense, the escalation has already begun.”
