Iran to move all schools to remote learning from April 21 — ministry
All schools in Iran will switch to remote learning from April 21 until further notice, the country’s education ministry said, according to Al Jazeera.
The measure will apply to all levels of education nationwide, the ministry said.
The decision comes amid ongoing tensions following military strikes by the United States and Israel against Iran in late February. Tehran responded with missile attacks targeting Israel and U.S. military bases in the Gulf region.
Iran, the United States, and their allies agreed on a two-week ceasefire overnight on April 8.
Talks between Iran and the United States held in Islamabad on April 11–12 with Pakistan acting as mediator, ended without a breakthrough. The sides are currently discussing a new date for further negotiations.
