UK Foreign Office staff data put up for sale on dark web
Hackers gained access to email accounts and passwords used by employees of Britain’s Foreign Office, with the stolen data put up for sale on the dark web, The Daily Telegraph reported.
According to the report, the leaked data included accounts of diplomats working at British embassies in Thailand and Mauritius.
Access was also obtained to accounts of local government employees in Derbyshire and the London borough of Waltham Forest.
The newspaper said the stolen data had been put up for sale on the dark web for $60,000.
