Alen Simonyan appointed Secretary of Armenia's Security Council
Former Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Alen Simonyan has been appointed Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia.
According to Armenian media reports, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed the relevant decree regarding the appointment.
In his new role, Simonyan replaces Armen Grigoryan, who held the position for roughly eight years. Simonyan previously served as President of the National Assembly of Armenia.
