Formula 1 unveils 2027 calendar: Azerbaijan Grand Prix set for September
Formula 1 and the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) have published the official 2027 World Championship calendar following formal ratification by the World Motor Sport Council.
According to Baku City Circuit, the 2027 Azerbaijan Grand Prix will take place on September 24–26, keeping the event on the identical late-September weekend scheduled for the 2026 race.
The 2027 campaign will feature 24 rounds staged across 22 countries, launching with the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 12–14 and concluding at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi on December 10–12. The regulatory framework will notably expand sprint events from 6 to 10 races across the championship schedule. Pre-season testing sessions are scheduled for February 24–27 at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir.
