A senior Dubai business leaders delegation from the retail and franchising sectors headed by Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry left for Azerbaijan capital Baku on Sunday to participate in a CEO Roundtable Discussion on Retail and Franchising being held at the Four Seasons hotel in Baku on Monday.

The objective behind the hosting of the interactive CEO Roundtable Discussion on Retail and Franchising is to raise Dubai s status as the hub of modern global and regional retail brands and franchises, promote experience and know-how of modern Dubai retailers and developers in planning, building, and running modern shopping centers, and create an opportunity for leading Dubai and Azerbaijani retailers to discuss business opportunities.

The roundtable being held on Monday will have welcome speeches by Sahil Babayev, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan, Hisham Al Shirawi, 2nd Vice-Chairman, Dubai Chamber, and is being attended by Rufat Mammadov, President, Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) and Rasul Mammadov, Partner, Azerbaijan Property Solutions.

The Dubai delegation will also visit a number of sites with real estate investment potential and will also discuss how to attract Dubai brands to Azerbaijan, and how Azeri businesses can benefit from Dubai s experience in facilities management of commercial real estate and retail trade.
