SOCAR commissions new well at underground gas depot

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) commissioned a new well at the Garadagh onshore field, according to a message from SOCAR, Trend reported on April 3. 

One of Azerbaijan's two underground gas storage facilities operates at the Garadagh field's base. The well's daily debit is 100,000 cubic meters of gas, SOCAR said. 

Azerbaijan has two underground gas storage facilities, Kalmaz and Garadagh. 

Drilling of wells for underground storage facilities is being conducted in order to increase the volume of gas pumped into them.
