Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina DTA enters into force

The agreement for the avoidance of double taxation on profit and property and prevention of fiscal evasion between the governments of Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina entered into force on Dec. 26, 2013, according to an update announced on the Azerbaijani Ministry of Taxes website.

The agreement was signed by both parties Oct. 18, 2012, in the presence of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev and the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bakir Izetbegovic.

The provisions of the agreement apply from Jan. 1, 2014.
