Azerbaijan, EU discuss energy cooperation

They commended the progress of relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union.The Azerbaijani Minister stressed the importance of exploring opportunities for strengthening partnership between the country and the organization in a variety of fields.He expressed confidence that Mard’s tenure would give impetus to the Azerbaijan-EU ties.The Ambassador underlined the importance of the fact that both Azerbaijan and the EU were interested in development of their relationship.Mard stressed the importance of the signing of the Shah Deniz 2 Final Investment Decision, noting the EU and Azerbaijan have strong cooperative relations.The two also praised expansion of the bilateral relations in the fields of energy security and economy.They also expressed confidence that the Azerbaijan-EU ties would continue to enhance, AzerTAc reports. ANN.Az
