Gas consumption up in Azerbaijan on falling temperatures

On January 31, the daily volume of gas supplied to consumers in Azerbaijan was 29.3 million cubic meters a day, up from 26.2 million cubic meters the day before, Trend reported, citing Azeriqaz (Azerbaijani Gas). 

The increase in volumes is because of the falling temperatures, Azariqaz said.

Baku accounted for 17.9 million cubic meters of the total daily gas consumption in the country.

Azeriqaz said there were no problems with gas supplies and that the volumes would be increased if necessary.

In 2013, Azeriqaz supplied over 2.2 billion cubic meters of gas to its 1.65 million customers across the country.
