Azerbaijan applies euro-4 standard skipping euro-3

Azerbaijan will transit to Euro-4 standard of automobile fuel skipping Euro-3 standard, Sabig Abdullayev, Director of the Institute of Standardization and Certification of the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents, said at yesterday’s press conference.

He said the standard will be applied beginning April 1, 2014. This will be applied to the imported cars as well as those manufactured in the country.

Azerbaijani Premier Artur Rasizada has signed the resolution to transit to the Euro-4 fuel standard from April 1, 2014, which was published in the official press.

In December 2013 Sabig Abdullayev claimed that quality of the fuel made in Azerbaijan will be changed into Euro-3 till the end of 2014.
