Karapetyan raises possibility of street protests in Armenia
Armenian opposition leader Samvel Karapetyan said his political movement could seek political change either through parliament or through street protests.
Karapetyan said his Strong Armenia alliance would decide whether to take up parliamentary mandates depending on which option would be more effective in challenging the government.
He also criticized the nationalisation of electricity assets in Armenia, saying such actions could negatively affect the country’s investment climate.
Karapetyan, a Russian-Armenian businessman, emerged as the main opposition challenger to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the June parliamentary election.
