Turkish parliament speaker to visit Baku for OIC conference

Speaker of Türkiye’s Grand National Assembly Numan Kurtulmus will visit Azerbaijan on June 23-24 to attend the 20th Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (PUIC), Turkish media reported.

The conference will be hosted by Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis in Baku.

Kurtulmus is expected to deliver a speech focusing on cooperation in the Islamic world, regional security, parliamentary diplomacy and other current issues.

During the visit, he will also hold bilateral meetings with parliamentary leaders from participating countries and representatives of international organisations.

The talks are expected to focus on regional and international developments as well as prospects for expanding inter-parliamentary cooperation.
