Azerbaijani, Russian defense ministers to sign 2017 co-op plan

Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov left for Moscow to attend the meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS member-states, to be held on November 30, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said in a message November 29.

According to the message, during the visit, Hasanov is expected to meet with his Russian counterpart, Army General Sergey Shoigu.

Various aspects of the military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia, regional security issues will be discussed at the meeting, the message said.

According to the message, the cooperation plan for 2017 is planned to be signed between the Azerbaijani and Russian Defense Ministries.

Moreover, Hasanov is expected to meet with defense ministers of several other countries.
