Ukraine, Azerbaijan to study chances for bolstering Euro-Asian energy corridor

Ukraine and Georgia have agreed to bolster cooperation within the framework of the Euro-Asian Oil Transport Corridor project, the press service of the Ukrainian Energy Ministry announced following the results of the 10th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Georgian-Ukrainian Commission on Economic Cooperation, held in Georgia, Report informs.

"Together with Georgia, Poland, Azerbaijan, we will study the possibilities of increasing the load on the oil transportation infrastructure of our countries and explore the prospects for the implementation of LNG projects," said Yaroslav Demchenkov, Deputy Energy Minister for European Integration.

As the message noted, given the current situation in the gas market, it is very important to diversify the supply of energy resources.
 
In addition, the countries agreed to share experiences in reforming energy markets, creating hydrogen energy, and enhancing the cybersecurity of critical infrastructure in the energy sector.

Ukraine and Georgia are planning to establish cooperation between companies, electricity operators, power engineers, scientists, startups in order to create and implement joint projects.

As reported, on October 13, during an online briefing, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that the Foreign Ministry proposes to hold a meeting of the Associated Trio of Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova with the European Union in the near future to discuss further trade liberalization in the context of the Green Deal and the digital transition of the EU.
