Rouhani to pay his first visit to Baku next month

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani will make an official to visit to Azerbaijan next month.

Rouhani's first visit to Azerbaijan as Iranian president is expected to take place in the second half of November, Trend news agency reported.

The Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mohsen Pak Ayeen, on Friday said Rouhani and Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev had previously met a few times to discuss

economic cooperation. 

"Iran is hoping to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries," Pak Ayeen said.

Aliyev's last visit to Iran was on April 9 this year.
