Bulgaria to start receiving full volume of Azerbaijani gas from July, PM Petkov says

Bulgaria will be able to receive gas from Azerbaijan in full from July 1, Bulgarian PM Kiril Petkov told a parliamentary hearing on Friday.

"We can receive gas from Azerbaijan from July 1 in full; these supplies do not depend on whether an intersystem gas pipeline with Greece is complete," the prime minister said.

Petkov also noted that an agreement on the supply of liquefied gas to two tankers from the United States was signed in June, and a place for unloading ships was reserved.

"American gas will also be delivered to Bulgaria; everything has been agreed," he added.
