Azerbaijan sees nearly eightfold increase in state budget surplus

The income of the state budget of Azerbaijan in the first half of 2022 made up 14.205 billion manats ($8.36 billion), and expenditure stood at 12.936 billion manats ($7.61 billion), respectively, up 20.8% and 11.6% from a year earlier. 

Consequently, the surplus amounted to 1,268.9 million manats ($0.75 billion), 7.7-fold more than the previous year.
