Aliyev calls Putin to congratulate him on 62nd birthday

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev phoned his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, to congratulate him on his birthday, Azartac reported.

Aliyev wished Putin a "happy birthday, further success in his presidential activities and good health", the state news agency said.

Putin thanked Aliyev for his attention and wishes.

The presidents said bilateral relations between the two countries were expanding successfully in all areas.

They also noted the importance of high-level meetings for expansion of cooperation and expressed their confidence that Azerbaijani-Russian relations would strengthen further, Azartac said.
