Ilham Aliyev: Italy and Azerbaijan have very strong political and economic relations

"Two documents on strategic partnership have been signed between Italy and Azerbaijan. We have very strong political and economic relations," President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said in his speech at the exchange of signed documents related to the establishment of Italy-Azerbaijan University in Rome on September 1.

The head of state said that Italy is Azerbaijan's first trade partner: "Our trade turnover was $9.6 billion last year, and $11 billion in seven months of this year."
