Turkish VP: Nancy Pelosi's views voiced in Armenia are unacceptable
19.09.2022 19:30
"The views expressed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the US Congress, Nancy Pelosi, during her visit to Armenia do not correspond to history and current realities. At the same time, her views are utterly devoid of goodwill, indicative of a biased stance, and are statements that sabotage diplomatic efforts. It is impossible to accept them in any case,” Vice-President of Turkiye Fuat Oktay wrote on Twitter.

Oktay also appealed to the international community. The vice president emphasized that there is a need for peace and stability in the region.

"I invite all international actors to behave calmly, fairly, and responsibly at a time when there is a need for permanent peace and stability in the region. We will resolutely continue to stand by Azerbaijan, which has been fighting to liberate its land, unjustly were under occupation for 30 years,” he added.
